Healing Tiles

interactive video installation
2012

Healing Tiles was commissioned by 21C Museum Hotel, Cincinnati for their permanent collection. Five large, organic, tiles wound and heal in response to visitors. They cover a hallway on the first floor of the museum, fitting naturally with the building's design. The tiles decrease in size from one end of the hall to the other, allowing for both group and personal experiences. The changing size also creates a forced-perspective illusion, making the hall look longer than it is.
